Inez and Sons Elderly Housing will be a joint family owned low income four unit housing complex for elderly housing in honor of the late Inez Kent and operated by her son Marion J. R. Kent, Ph. D. and granddaughter, Venus Renee Kent! Marion James Rufus Kent, PhD will reside on the property, manage and maintain the complex located in Okaloosa County FL and City of Fort Walton Beach FL.
Inez and Sons Elderly Housing will be a new condo style two story Triplex and a remodeled existing ranch home located at 11 McGriff Street NE, Ft Walton Beach, Florida 32548 and constructed on R-2 zoned property centrally located near major shopping and businesses. The goal is to add three family two bedroom housing units, remodel the current three bedroom home, provide rent free housing for the elderly for five years and to provide construction jobs for displaced minority construction workers effected by the corona virus pandemic. The current single family ranch home was built in 1957, remodeled in 2009 and owned by the Inez Kent family since 1957! When construction and remodeling are completed, it will have three two bedroom units and one three bedroom unit.
After the construction of the the three condo housing units are completed, in addition to providing free rent for five year for low income elderly, we well assist with day-to-day care, healthy meals, medical attention, community programs and strive to create the best environment for elderly persons to thrive in.
Currently, we are seeking donation for cost of construction so when completed the four family housing complex will continue to be mortgage free. Would be willing to make an in-kind donation to the proposed project?
